World’s First Activity Assessment Following Cardiac Valve Surgery
There are two main methods of Cardiac Valve Surgery. These are Minimally Invasive and Full Sternotomy. Both methods have their expert followers and both methods are very successful. However, there hasn’t been a major study of the post-operative patients over a long period to evaluate the change. Once the patient goes home, collection of data is sporadic and of little value.
This study will monitor each patient for six months after the operation by collecting several strings of data from a wearable, which looks like a wrist watch. At periodic intervals in the study and at the end, expert medical statisticians will evaluate the outcomes.
